"Playful Pancakes are catnip-filled cat toys made from scrap leather donated by Soft Star Shoes, a shoemaker in my town.  

I invented them and started selling them when I was 7 years old to raise money to buy goats for kids in villages in Darfur, Sudan so that they won't starve.  Now there are other kids helping me.

I give all the money to Kids for Kids, the charity that buys the goats for the children in Darfur. One goat costs $42 now.  And a Playful Pancake costs $14 so 3 Playful Pancakes equals 1 goat.

As of April 2008 we have bought 250 goats!
